In November 2001, CVC led the acquisition of Pacific Brands from Pacific Dunlop Limited. It is the largest marketer of basic consumer brands in Australia and New Zealand. The company is the leader in underwear, footwear, and sports equipment predominantly sourced from China, and bedding manufactured in Australia. Well known brands include Bonds, Berier, Holeproof, Grosby, Clarks, Malvern Star, Dunlop and Slazenger. In April 2004, CVC exited the investment completely by IPO the company in Australia Stock Exchange.
